With fantastic facilities and a warm climate, the Swan Hill region caters for sports enthusiasts all year round.

Superb golfing facilities are available for the devotee, with six courses including the VPGA award-winning Murray Downs Golf and Country Club at your disposal. This complex includes on course resort accommodation, bowling greens, motorised buggy and club hire, and visitors are advised to book early with the Pro Shop.

Bring your tennis racquet and enjoy 47 lawn tennis courts, or play lawn bowls year round at one of the seven clubs in the area. The June Racing Carnival is an annual three day event, and regular pacing meetings are held throughout the year at Nyah and Robinvale.

Our great weather allows plenty of opportunity to utilise our swimming pool complex which is ideal for the kids, including four pools, diving boards, thrilling water slide and mini golf. Experience the magic of the Murray by hiring a canoe or hire a daisy or mountain bike to explore the river foreshore.

For the more adventurous, jet skiing at Lake Boga is guaranteed to set the adrenaline pumping. Alternatively take a glider flight on dusk and watch the sunset from 2,000 feet. Visitors are also invited to experience the high speed 80 Ski Classic at Robinvale, held every year over the March long weekend.

The region is a fisherman's paradise, with waterways including Lake Boga, and the Murray, Wakool, Edwards and Murrimbidgee rivers. The famous Murray Cod are still caught in the area, although anglers should check closed seasons and size restrictions.

Camping is a popular recreation activity for visitors to the Swan Hill region. There are many holiday parks in the area which provide facilities such as swimming pools, spas, tennis courts, golf, while there are several natural areas including Vinifera-Nyah State Forest and around Lake Boga that are popular.
