Priscilla Queen of the Desert filmed in 1994 was one of the biggest Australian made films to break into the box offices globally. The film is a comedy about three drag queens that go on a road trip to Alice Springs where they have been invited to perform.
There was extensive filming in and around Broken Hill and include locations such as All Nations Hotel, Marios Palace, Mundi Mundi Lookou, Pinnacles Road, Stevens Creek Hotel and the town village of Silverton located 25km outside Broken Hill. |
